Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Gostudios LLC (“we”, “us”), the operator of CheckTunes (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

CheckTunes is an organizational workspace for independent musicians: projects and releases, a song catalogue, workflows and tasks, a calendar, budget tracking, rights and split records, private file storage, and an optional AI assistant. It helps you organize your work. It is not a distributor, a publisher, a performing-rights organization, or a legal, tax, or financial advisor, and it does not register rights, obtain identifiers, or deliver releases on your behalf.

Accounts

  • You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a contract.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Tell us promptly at nunu.blur.ops@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • One person or entity per account unless we agree otherwise.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

  • The Free plan is offered at no cost with the usage limits shown on the pricing page. The paid “Artist” plan is US$12 per month, billed through our payment processor, Stripe.
  • Paid subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change plan prices or limits with at least 30 days’ notice for the following billing period.
  • If a payment fails and is not resolved, we may downgrade the account to the Free plan, which can place it over the Free limits until you reduce usage.

Your content

You keep all ownership of the material you upload or create in the Service (“Your Content”), including audio, artwork, lyrics, documents, and notes. You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, back up, process, and display Your Content to you and your account, and to operate features you use. We do not sell Your Content and do not use it to train machine-learning models.

AI assistant

  • AI features are optional and produce draft suggestions and explanations only. They never change your data on their own; you review and choose whether to apply anything.
  • To generate a suggestion we send a limited, structured summary of the relevant project to our AI provider (OpenAI). We do not send your lyrics, file contents, contact details, or identifiers. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
  • AI output can be wrong or incomplete. It is general information, not legal, tax, financial, or distribution advice. Verify anything you rely on.
  • Each account has usage limits (a lifetime allowance on Free, and a fair-use rate limit on all plans) to keep costs sustainable.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • upload content you do not have the rights to, or that is unlawful, infringing, or malicious;
  • probe, scan, or attempt to breach the Service’s security or another user’s data;
  • use the Service to send spam, or resell or share access outside your account;
  • place automated load on the Service beyond normal individual use, or circumvent usage limits.

Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided without an uptime guarantee. We may modify or discontinue features; if we make a material adverse change to a paid plan we will give notice and let you cancel for a pro-rata refund of the unused period.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (contact nunu.blur.ops@gmail.com if you need help). We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms or the law, with notice where practicable. On termination we delete or de-identify your data within 30 days, except where we must keep records to comply with law.

Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or missed deadlines. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim (or, if you are on the Free plan, US$100). Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
